About Amy Bohn
I'm Amy Bohn, an herbal esthetician, massage therapist, herbalist and breast cancer survivor with decades of experience helping people care for their skin and well-being. After over 20 years as founder and owner of Spa Habitat (an award-winning organic day spa concept in the Dallas area) and Clovertree Apothecary (a plant powered skin care and body care line), I have now branched out on my own and have returned to my roots in the treatment room.
About Cypress & Sage
At Cypress & Sage Skin Studio, I utilize an apothecary of whole-plant remedies to create customized facials designed specifically for your skin on that particular day. No two facials are exactly alike. My goal is not simply to help your skin look better for a few days, but to support long-term skin health using the nourishing power of plants. Every ingredient, technique, and recommendation is selected with intention. I want each guest to leave feeling that they have received the most personalized and most luxurious facial they've ever experienced along with healthier, more vibrant skin. Within my treatment room I utilize plants and products from Botnia Skincare and Laurel Skin depending on your individual skin's needs on the day of your appointment.
My own breast cancer journey also led me to pursue specialized training in oncology massage and oncology-safe skin care. Providing safe, nurturing care for those in treatment, recovery, or survivorship is not only a professional specialty, it is deeply personal to me.
Whether you visit me for a customized botanical facial, a restorative massage, or oncology-focused service, my goal is simple: to create a peaceful space where you feel comfortable, relaxed, and pampered.
About Botnia Skincare
Botnia was created by an esthetician who spent years in the treatment room seeing what thoughtful, plant-based care could do for skin. The products are made in-house in Sausalito, California, with carefully sourced botanical ingredients, close relationships with farmers, and plants grown on Botnia’s own nearby microfarm.
That hands-on approach is what drew me to Botnia. I care about knowing what goes onto your skin and choosing ingredients with intention for each custom botanical facial. Botnia’s professional apothecary of ingredients gives me the freedom to blend a personalized facial around your skin and how it feels, what it needs, and what we hope to support that day.
I’ve trained with Botnia’s founder to better understand each ingredient and how to use it in the treatment room. The result is a truly personal, botanical facial rooted in plants, careful formulation, and my belief that healthy skin deserves thoughtful care.
About Laurel Skin
I chose Laurel Skin because its approach to skincare feels so close to my own: care for the skin with whole plants, thoughtfully chosen and prepared. You’ll find Laurel products in my studio, along with a selection to take home.
Laurel’s herbalist-made formulas use whole, organic botanicals rather than isolated ingredients. Because of this, the plants bring their natural richness to each serum, mask, and balm.
What I especially love is the care that begins long before a product reaches the treatment room. Laurel calls its approach Slow Farmed Beauty: an attention to the soil, the growers, and the time each plant needs. That patience carries through to the finished formulas and into the unhurried, personalized care I want you to experience here.
The Meaning Behind the Name
The name Cypress & Sage is very meaningful and special to me.
The cypress tree symbolizes resilience, endurance, and hope. As an evergreen, it remains strong and vibrant through every season, which is a beautiful reminder that growth, strength, and renewal are possible even after life's most difficult chapters. As a breast cancer survivor, this meaning holds a special place in my heart.
Sage represents healing and reflects my lifelong connection to plants and my belief in their ability to nourish and support the skin and body.
